Hi, my name is Tim Roarty. I’m your newly elected Safety Officer for 2008. I will take a proactive approach in developing, promoting and lecturing motorcycle safety information to the attendees at the Oakland H.O.G. monthly meetings. The main areas that I will be focusing on are noted below: · Provide education through the Safe Rider Skills Program · Distribute information from the Motorcycle Safety Foundation H.O.G. members will be encouraged to continue their riding skills training in order to refresh their knowledge and to eliminate rider complacency. Currently, our chapter has a good track record regarding safe rides. I want to continue with that record. Remember, when riding solo or in a group ride, no matter if you’re a motorcycle enthusiast, weekend rider or a beginner you must ride within your skill level, do not ride over your ability.
